9-11, 5 years later
So, I both went to an airport on 9-11's 5-year anniversary, and drove through Sommerset, PA. I wasn't expecting that.
9-11 was a defining day for my generation.
It defined the base depths to which humanity could sink; but it also should that in each one of us ordinary folks, that we have the potential to be heros, cowards, selfless, brave, or to be able to unify and become instant brothers with total strangers.
Some of us how no idea how we would react in a situation like that. Gudging by our reactions to the news, I think we all learned something about our own selves.
That day showed humanity's worst and humanities best. I'm proud to be able to call that same nation all those heros came from my home. As an artist I wish there was a way I could express how poud I am of those people. You see Hollywood and how pathetic the people of our nation can get, but it's the quieter, ordinary folks I like to think make up the majority of this nation.
Now if only those whiny, tantrum-thowing loud-mouths would only shut up for one freakin day.

artist as a quick way to make a buck. anything made about
that day is almost a sure fire way to make money. I know
that sounds cynical, but you have to admit that they have
used it to part money from the nostalgic masses that because
they buy a piece of artwork that in some way depicts that
horrific day, they must be saints, and therefore that is why I refuse to make anymore artwork like that (also since everyother artist on the planet feels like it is their duty to once again bring out the same old scene). Not that I'm saying that you would do that It's just my opinion.
